Steve Kittrick’s future as Guiseley AFC manager is unclear after Saturday’s Blue Square Bet North play-offs semi-final defeat to FC Halifax Town.
Two second half goals from Dan Gardner and Lee Gregory fired the Shaymen into the final and leave Guiseley suffering play-off heartache for the third consecutive year. Speaking to Guiseley’s official Audioboo website about his future, Kittrick said: “That is down to the club. There are some bridges to cross as I am not under contract, I don’t know what I’m doing and the club don’t know what they’re doing.
“They may want a fresh face after five-and-a-half years.”
Kittrick left Ossett Town to take charge at Nethermoor in December 2007 from former Bradford City manager Terry Dolan. He has led the Lions to the UniBond Premier Division title and Challenge Cup along with two second-place finishes in the Blue Square Bet North and two West Riding County Cups.
Kittrick has the chance of adding a third straight County Cup triumph next Tuesday when his side face FC Halifax at Valley Parade.
