Rubgy star hit by bus on Otley Run

DANNY Cipriani, fly-half for Sale Sharks, has spent the night in a Leeds hospital after being hit by a bus during a night out in the city.

Cipriani, 25, was hit by a double decker bus while doing on a pub crawl in Leeds.

According to reports, the rugby union star was doing the Otley Run pub crawl with Sale Shark teammates when he was injured.

He was treated for concussion and had scans and x-rays at Leeds General Infirmary, but is expected to be discharged this afternoon.

Witnesses said the entire windscreen of the bus was shattered in the incident.

Police attended the scene in Woodhouse Lane at around 8.40pm last night, where a male pedestrian had been “involved in a collision with a bus”.

The Sale Shark players were reportedly dressed as characters from the Wizard of Oz.
